About This Residence Status
A residence status for working in 12 specified industries with serious labor shortages (nursing care, building cleaning, construction, shipbuilding, agriculture, food manufacturing, etc.). Requires passing a skills test and Japanese language test (N4 level). Those who have completed Technical Intern Training (Type 2) are exempt from the tests.
Key Requirements
- Pass the skills evaluation test for the specified industry field
- Pass JLPT N4 or higher, or JFT-Basic
- Hiring company registered as a specified skilled worker accepting organization
